Compliance Office

Compliance is the adherence by all employees and representatives of a company to external laws and regulations as well as internal policies, ethics codes and commitments. At Cargolux we face potential exposure to several areas of regulatory risks such as antitrust, anti-bribery, fraud, and export restrictions. With the overall aim of protecting our company from financial penalties, legal exposure, and reputational risk, the Compliance Department supports each business area in its duty to comply with the relevant laws. The department’s functions include risk assessment, providing training and consultation, due diligence, monitoring, reporting, investigation and remediation.

Human Resources

The Human Resources team is a central point for all matters related to our company's most important asset: our employees. The Human Resources Department assists and takes care of their needs in the air and on the ground.

The uniqueness of our growing international business allows us a diversified approach and strategy based on a stable and strong fundament. Trustworthiness, integrity and our family atmosphere represent the foundation of our relationships to all internal and external stakeholders. Our aim is to build strong and long-term partnerships. Corporate Security

Aviation Security gained more relevance since the tragic events of September 11, 2001.  This incident made security concerns more prominent than they were ever before and affected all aspects of the aviation industry.

The attacks on air cargo in October 2010 and the economic impact it had on international cargo flows crystalized even further the attention of the public and the regulators on our core business.

Cargolux's capacities and reputation may be severely diminished by threats or serious incidents involving aviation security.  Managing the security risks, i.e. ensuring the Company's exposure to risk is kept to the lowest possible level at an acceptable cost is the responsibility of Corporate Security.  This is achieved through the reduction and mitigation of the consequences arising from such an incident. 

Strict adherence to the latest legal requirements in Air Cargo Security not only helps Cargolux to maintain its ability to fly securely around the globe but also gives customers confidence in our ability to protect their goods in a professional way.

Corporate Security is committed to safeguarding the company's personnel, customers, operations, property and the general public against acts of unlawful interference both on the ground and in the air. 

The primary objective of Corporate Security department is to implement, maintain and monitor an efficient and effective system of security ensuring a 'secure' environment for civil aviation operations in general and those of Cargolux in particular. 

Corporate Communications

The Corporate Communications Department issues the internal and external communication.

These include:

  • Media Relations - writing and distributing press releases, coordinating interview requests, responding to media inquiries, organizing press conferences, preparing media kits and press reviews
  • Public Relations – editing and producing the annual and sustainability reports, managing the company website and social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube)
  • Internal Communication

  • Crisis Communication
