Cargolux bans lion bone transport

Cargolux has decided to place a ban on the transport of lion bones in an effort to curb and deter this worrying new trend in wildlife trafficking.
This traffic has been growing over the past decade and is closely linked to both poaching and lion breeding for trophy hunts, practices that do not align with Cargolux’s stance on wildlife conservation.

LX-VCJ safely landed after technical issue

Cargolux confirms that its flight CV7303 en-route from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Zhengzhou, China, returned to KUL shortly following take-off. An emergency was declared after the crew reported the presence of fire and smoke in the cockpit.

Cargolux launches new transpacific service

Cargolux is happy to announce the launch of a new transpacific service between Hong Kong (HKG) and Mexico City (MEX).

The connection will be operated twice weekly with flights leaving from Hong Kong on Saturdays and Mondays to arrive in the Mexican capital on Sundays and Tuesdays. The Monday flight will also include a stopover in Guadalajara (GDL), the country’s second most populous municipality.

Cargolux brings 3000 years of Chinese culture to Luxembourg

In the framework of a cultural exchange agreement between China’s Henan Museum and Luxembourg’s Musée National d'Histoire et d'Art (MNHA), Cargolux has transported invaluable historical artifacts between Zhengzhou and Luxembourg. A total of 3 tonnes comprising 145 cultural artifacts were carefully loaded aboard Cargolux’ flight CV975. They arrived early this morning after a 10 hour flight from the carrier’s China hub in Zhengzhou to its home base in Luxembourg.

Cargolux flies horses to Asian Games

Last weekend, Cargolux safely flew high value race horses from Luxembourg to Jakarta, Indonesia, where they participated in the Asian games. The four-legged sports stars will compete in the equestrian part of the Games which are held in Jakarta from August 18th to September 2nd. This competition, based on the Olympic Games format, is held every four years in an Asian or Middle Eastern city and gathers the best athletes from across the region.
