Cargolux adds Narita Tokyo to its network

Today, Cargolux inaugurated a new weekly flight from Luxembourg Airport, to Narita International Airport in Japan in the scope of a cooperation agreement with Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) for code-share cargo flights between Luxembourg and Tokyo. Cargolux’s Boeing 747-8 freighter, registered LX-VCM, was warmly welcomed with the traditional water cannon salute upon arrival on Wednesday, followed by celebration events at Narita airport. During the ceremony, Richard Forson, Chief Executive Office of Cargolux, emphasized the importance of Japan in Cargolux’s network “Japan has long played an important role in Cargolux’s Far East network and we are looking forward to supporting Japan’s trade lanes to and from Europe”.

卢森堡,2018年11月8日 – 基于河南省文物局与卢森堡国家历史与艺术博物馆签署的一份文化交流协议,卢森堡货运航空负责运送珍贵历史文物从郑州前往卢森堡。总计约3吨,装载145件(组)历史文物的集装箱顺利登上卢森堡货运航空公司CV975航班,经过约10小时从卢森堡货运航空中国郑州枢纽到其卢森堡总部的飞行,于今天顺利抵达卢森堡。

Cargolux is honoured by Budapest Airport as Best Performing Cargo Airline

Cargolux was awarded the "Best Performing Cargo Airline" prize in 2017 during a ceremony on February 8th 2018 at Budapest Airport.

With this award, Budapest Airport recognizes Cargolux’s contribution to its record-breaking year. “We are honored and proud to receive this award,” says Tony McNichol, Regional Director Central Europe. “It is a great recognition of our efforts to offer the Hungarian air freight community the best possible service.” In 2017, Cargolux transported close to 11,000 tons of cargo from and to Budapest Airport, an increase of +14.5 percent compared to 2016. Europe’s leading all-cargo carrier is the largest provider in the belly and freighter cargo market at Budapest Airport.

Cargolux Maintenance celebrates its 100th C-Check

This week Cargolux celebrates a milestone in the company's history with the completion of the 100th C-Check at its maintenance centre in Luxembourg. Around 10,600 working hours were planned for this C-Check to thoroughly service LX-FCL, a Boeing 747-400 freighter. The maintenance hangar, which can accommodate two Boeing 747 aircraft simultaneously, enables Cargolux to carry out extensive C-Checks as well as smaller A-Checks on its freighters.
