Cargolux on heavy duty

Cargolux Airlines successfully transported a 10-meter long shaft with a total gross weight of 43 metric tonnes from Luxembourg to Zhengzhou. It was the largest piece Cargolux has ever transported to its second hub in the heart of China’s Henan province. The transport was organized on behalf of the newly founded HNCA Logistics (Luxembourg) in cooperation with their local partner European Logistics Partners (ELP).

Cargolux and Unions agree on new CWA terms

Today, after more than one year of intense negotiations, the management of Cargolux and its social partners, LCGB and OGBL, signed two new collective work agreements for Europe’s largest all-cargo airline. One agreement covers the period between 1 December 2018 and 31 December 2019 and the second will become effective as of 1 January 2020 until 31 December 2022.

Cargolux Italia launches new service to Incheon

Cargolux Italia, a subsidiary of the Cargolux Airlines, is pleased to announce the launch of a brand new routing between Milan-Malpensa in Italy, and Incheon in South Korea, where the country’s primary international airport is located.

Cargolux increases Xiamen frequency

Europe’s largest all-cargo airline, Cargolux Airlines International S.A., has announced the introduction of a third weekly frequency to Xiamen as of 1 July, 2019 to meet growing customer demand.     

The new service, CV9721 is operated every Monday morning, departing Luxembourg at 8:10 a.m. with arrival in Xiamen on Tuesday at 4:40 a.m. The return flight, CV9731, is scheduled to leave Xiamen at 6:15 a.m. and is routed through Los Angeles before returning to Luxembourg where it lands at 6:15 a.m. (All times provided are local).

Cargolux transports artwork to Art Basel Fair

Cargolux Airlines has transported 230 tons of artwork from the United States to Basel, Switzerland ahead of the renowned Art Basel Fair 2019. The priceless commodities, totalling an impressive 104 pallets, were spread out over 8 flights, 3 originating from Los Angeles and 5 from New York. Upon arrival in Luxembourg, the precious cargo was loaded on board 31 trucks for the final leg of the journey. The shipment was handled by the airline in coordination with its forwarding partners Masterpiece, Dietl, and Hasenkamp.

Cargolux is pleased to announce it has just launched a brand new service to Jakarta, the 16th destination on the company’s Asia-Pacific network. The inaugural flight took place on June 23rd and the aircraft was welcomed by a traditional water salute following touchdown.

New date for beluga whale transport

Cargolux and SEALIFE Trust have set the date for the beluga whales, Little Grey and Little White, to embark on their epic journey from China to Iceland on June 19th. The initial travel date in April had been cancelled because of bad weather in Iceland.
