From the beginning, Cargolux clients have entrusted the company with the air transportation of their 'shock and tilt sensitive cargo'. This includes products of the semiconductor manufacturing industry (like wafer steppers), health care products (like computer tomographs and IMR ), artworks (high valued paintings), products of the automotive (robots, cars) and the entertainment industry.

This very sensitive cargo requires special documentation, including job sheets, and special packing (strong wooden crates, or specially designed containers), which are delivered in airsuspended, and if required, humidity and temperature controlled trucks.

Special attention and careful monitoring is performed, both, during the loading and offloading . The centre of gravity is mostly predefined for forklifting. Upon palletization the transportation and loading onto the aircraft are done on rollerbed system, secured and supervised by expert load controllers.

Inside the aircraft, if the shock and tilt sensitive cargo also needs temperature control, our air crew is duly informed to set the required temperature during the entire flight. Offloading at destination is also done with extreme care and without delay, under supervision of responsible Cargolux staff.

The delivery to the customer's premises is again ensured by same specialized trucks.
