Cargolux adds second frequency to Amman

Luxembourg, 9 May, 2005 – Following the inauguration of services to Jordan end of March of this year, Europe’s largest all-cargo airline, Cargolux Airlines International S.A., announces the introduction of a second frequency to Amman, starting on May 15, 2005.

CV 7827 is operated every Sunday, departing Luxembourg late afternoon, with arrival in Amman early Monday morning. From Amman, the flight continues to Sharjah before returning as CV 7831 to Luxembourg with arrival on Monday afternoon. CV 7827/CV 7831 is Cargolux’s second Gulf-turnaround flight, and will also enhance more sea-air freight and other cargo westbound.

The earlier Amman flight, CV 7943, introduced end March 2005, is operated every Wednesday, with late evening departure in Luxembourg, arriving in Amman on Thursday morning.

On board Cargolux’s B747-400 freighters to Jordan, mostly construction equipment, machinery, and spare parts are flown, contributing to the growth of local industries, while from Amman, mostly textiles, perishables and hi-tech equipment will be loaded.
