Cargolux introduces fourth weekly Budapest flight

Luxembourg, 13 January 2004 – Cargolux Airlines International S.A. has added a fourth weekly frequency to Budapest, starting on 15 January. Every Tuesday, the flight is routed from Luxembourg to Istanbul, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Abu Dhabi, Budapest and back to Luxembourg, where it arrives on Thursdays. With this additional service, the company aims to meet the demand for increased capacity, especially from the markets in Hong Kong and Bangkok. At the European end, the forwarders in Budapest are supporting a fourth weekly flight that boosts their exports.

With its four services, Cargolux is the only carrier offering direct services between Asia and Budapest. Commodities flown to and from Budapest range from high tech, audio and telecommunications equipment to textiles, machinery, art work, handicraft, pharmaceuticals and perishable goods. Apart from Hong Kong and Bangkok, Cargolux flights also connect Taipei and Singapore with the Hungarian capital.

With its Budapest flights, Cargolux also serves Austrian destinations such as Salzburg, Graz, Linz and Vienna that are linked with overnight trucking services. Other cities served from Budapest include Prague, Bratislava, Warsaw, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Bucharest and Belgrade.
