Cargolux adapts its fuel surchage

Luxembourg, 12 October 2004 - Cargolux reacts to the further increase in fuel prices and adapts its fuel surcharge on all cargo shipments on 26 October 2004. The decision reflects the rising costs that Cargolux is exposed to and that affect the entire industry.

The current level of the fuel surcharge will be adjusted to € 0.35 per kilo, or its equivalent in local currency. The charge is based on actual weight and will be implemented across the Cargolux network according to local legislation and wherever it is legally permitted.

Cargolux, based in Luxembourg, is Europe’s largest all-cargo airline, operating a modern fleet of 13 B747-400 freighters on a worldwide network, covering 90 destinations, 50 of which are served on scheduled all-cargo flights. The company has more than 85 offices in over 50 countries and also offers an extensive trucking network to more than 50 destinations in Europe and the US as well as charter and aircraft maintenance services. Cargolux employs more than 1300 staff worldwide.
