| CARGOLUX APPOINTS NEW COUNTRY MANAGER GERMANY Luxembourg, 2 July 2004 - Cargolux Airlines has appointed Thomas Kaltenegger, 48, as Director Import/Export services based in Luxembourg, with effect of 1 July 2004. In this newly created position, he will be responsible for all physical movements of freight in and out of the company’s Luxembourg hub. Having been in charge of the carrier’s German Sales organisation during 14 successful years, he will emphasize on commercial and service aspects of cargo flows, reporting to the Vice-President, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Pierre Wesner. Klaus D. Gries will take over from Thomas Kaltenegger as Country Manager Germany. He assumed his new position on 1 May 2004 and is based at Cargolux’s office in Frankfurt. Klaus Gries, 46, is of German nationality and has gained extensive experience in his former responsibility at Air France where he occupied various management positions prior to joining Cargolux. Since 2002, he held the position of Air France’s Regional Manager Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. With Klaus Gries’ appointment, Cargolux further strengthens its commitment to the German air cargo market which has developed into Cargolux’s most important European market. Daily truck connections link Germany via Luxembourg with Cargolux’s worldwide flight network.
