| CARGOLUX STRENGTHENS COMMITMENT TO GF-X Luxembourg, 31 March 2003 - Cargolux underlined its continued commitment to Global Freight Exchange (GF-X) by signing an upfront one-year agreement in place of its normal monthly subscription and designating GF-X as its preferred bookings channel. Cargolux, an early supporter of GF-X, has been accepting electronic reservations through GF-X since it went live in October 2000. GF-X automates the full range of booking transactions and provides a link to operational tracking processes and management information tools. “Cargolux is determined to be at the forefront of new developments, hence our strengthened commitment to GF-X which we see as the established leader in its area.”, says Ulrich Ogiermann, Cargolux CEO. “GF-X brings significant advantages both in terms of efficiency gains and revenue opportunities. As more forwarders and airlines join the benefits will continue to increase for all participants.” Jean Godart, Chairman of GF-X states: “Automation and electronic reservations are now high on the agenda for major airlines and forwarders in the air cargo industry. The benefits to be gained are substantial and not easy to ignore. GF-X is now increasingly being viewed as the standard reservations system for the industry.” Cargolux, based in Luxembourg, is Europe’s largest all-cargo airline, operating a modern fleet of 12 B747-400 freighters on a worldwide network, covering 91 destinations, 50 of which are served on scheduled all-cargo flights. The company has more than 85 offices in over 50 countries and also offers an extensive trucking network to more than 50 destinations in Europe and the US as well as charter and aircraft maintenance services.
