| Cargolux To Ensure 120 Tonnes Of Perishables From The Ivory Coast To Europe Luxembourg's cargo carrier Cargolux Airlines, started direct flights from Abidjan, Ivory Coast, to Luxembourg on 10 April 2002. The new flight, CV7653, is operated every Wednesday from Brazil/South America, with continuation to West Africa, before returning to Luxembourg. Cargo shipped on this service will be distributed from Luxembourg to all European countries, the majority of the shipments is destined for France. On board of each flight, a total of 120 tons of pineapples, mangoes, papayas and fresh fish is foreseen for European restaurants and households, plus removal goods during June, July and August. The other two existing flights are operated southbound from Luxembourg to Abidjan on Sundays and Tuesdays. They carry mainly telecommunications equipment, car parts, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, mining machinery, ship spares, and oil drilling equipment to the Ivory Coast.
