Low emissions for high efficiency

Cargolux’s Boeing 747-400F are equipped with modern Rolls-Royce and General Electric engines. They consume on average 18% less fuel than the engines of the B747-200, and offer 20-50% lower emission rates of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, smoke and nitrous oxides.

This remarkable achievement ensures that Cargolux’s flights contribute far less to atmospheric pollution and global warming than airlines operating older aircraft. At the same time, the reduced fuel consumption makes Cargolux’s flights more economical to fly and substantially increase the airline’s competitiveness and ability to remain profitable. Cargolux has a strong interest in always using the most fuel-efficient aircraft.
