Cargolux Highway Distribution
For Intercontinental Air Cargo Shipments:
Cargolux, the global all-cargo airline, operates one of Europe's largest road feeder networks to supplement its worldwide 747 freighter flights. Cargolux has contracted 20 trucking companies to deliver intercontinental airfreight arriving in Luxembourg. From Dublin to Helsinki, from Oslo to Alicante, Cargolux delivers to any site in Europe where air freight cannot fulfil the requirement. Even though trucking of air cargo in Asia and South America is not as common as in Europe or in the USA, Cargolux has provided tailor-made trucking arrangements in most Asian and South American markets, which have entirely satisfied its customers' request.

Forwarders in Asia and the Americas use the Cargolux road feeder service to get more efficient delivery to major European airports and to customers' inbond warehouses. Compared with shipping through the larger but more congested hubs, Cargolux's high service standards through Luxembourg save at least half a day in transit time and significantly reduce airport handling and delivery costs.

Speedy service everywhere in Eastern and Western Europe
Cargolux operates scheduled services to 46 cities and airports and ad hoc services to over 100 additional sites. Today, we conduct over 37.000 trucking operations carrying about 235.000 tons of freight per year for our customers. Normal frequencies run three to five times per week, with special or exceptional movements available on request.
In cooperation with forwarders, special arrangements allow pick up and delivery at our customers' doors or transport special commodity. Cargolux's trucking now carries nearly one-third of its shipments directly between airport and customers' facilities. Subcharter distribution via truck from Luxembourg is also available.

European trucking network - European roadfeeder network
Cargolux has more than 25 years of experience operating a trucking and distribution network in Europe. Rely on them to avoid costly delays on the highway and to achieve the most efficient routing for your customers' cargo.
Airfreight spends only 10% of its journey in flight. Cargolux speeds it along the remaining 90% of the trip with its integrated network of warehouses, trucks, and information systems. As soon as flights arrive in Luxembourg, air cargo is transferred immediately to the freight terminal for deconsolidation and delivery by agents transfer to trucks for Cargolux surface delivery to any airport in Europe or direct surface delivery by Cargolux to a customer's inbond warehouse.
Export trucks deliver air cargo to Luxembourg's freight terminal for prompt palletization and loading onto the booked flight.
With no congestion in Luxembourg, freight moves quickly through the airport warehouse. Handling is expedited because air and ground movements are scheduled to minimize transfer times. Each Cargolux scheduled road feeder service is assigned its own flight number. This network is so efficient that freight is ready for pick-up in most European cities even before shipments arriving on direct intercontinental flights to those cities have cleared customs.
Cargolux highway distribution offers an additional bonus for customers that demand door-to-door service. Instead of trucking large shipments to and from overcrowded airports' cargo facilities, Cargolux eliminates this time-consuming step and picks up or delivers the goods directly at the customers' facility. Customers save half a day or more in transit time and save on airport handling and delivery costs.

U.S. Road feederservice
Cargolux can arrange over-the-road carriage for customers between its gateway cities and any destination in North America. Services may be on a scheduled or ad hoc basis, full truckload or less-than-truckload. Specialized equipment is available to haul livestock, perishables or outsized shipments.

Asian truck services
Cargolux provides trucking between its airport terminals and customer facilities in most Asian countries. Vehicles are available to accommodate any type of shipment on almost any schedule.
