Cargolux performs a number maintenance programs on its fleet of Boeing 747 freighters and on aircraft of external customers. Therefore, Cargolux employs specialists in the fields of avionics, maintenance programs, mechanical systems, powerplants and structures.

The main task of the Engineer is to develop repairs and modifications and to provide engineering support to the maintenance division.

• Maintaining the safety of the Cargolux fleet of aircraft
• Maintaining the required level of dispatch reliability of aircraft
• Maintaining cost effectiveness in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of components
• Supporting maintenance and production activities such as inspection, modification and repairs of aircraft
• Providing engineering services to other departments
• Maintaining proficiency in aircraft systems, repairs and regulatory requirements
• Liaising with aircraft and equipment manufacturers

• An interest in aviation
• Aeronautical or mechanical engineering degree
• Proficiency with design programs
• Fluency in English, any other language will be considered an advantage

Cargolux offers a two-year training program for new engineers which includes aircraft specific courses and courses on repair techniques, the regulatory environment and personal development.
